Reclassified

January 20th, 2011

I made this picture for an interesting show called Reclassified, coming up at The Greenhouse, St Peter Port in Guernsey (!). A load of artists/illustrators/creative types had to rework a genuine real life classified advert selected at random from the  Guernsey Evening News. The work had to include the original text and be black and white. A fun challenge and a chance to experiment with a bit of type for me. The show opens on 28th January.

I have made it at last. I am taking part in a French show. It is a group show in which all of the participating artists chose some of their favourite records and reworked the covers. Above is one of my efforts, “Kimono my house” by Sparks. I did a version of Neneh Cherry’s classic “Raw like sushi” and Nancy Sit’s cover of “I’m a believer”. Below are chunks of the promotional stuff for the show. Should be good! Thanks studioburo and Postics
