Here’s a picture I made especially for the afore mentioned “As is painting so is poetry” show up in York. Looking at this now, I can’t help but think of The Sound of Music and lots of Communist propaganda posters I’ve seen (in books, not on the streets). She’s doing some taoist magical stuff in a field near her house for good luck and crops and that.
I’m going to be taking part in PICK ME UP

I have got a couple of drawings in this show. Go and see on the Jan the 25 the 2010.

Whoops I haven’t posted anything since November. I blame the recession and snowiness.

Like I say, I’m just gathering ideas here. Some kind of drawing brain storm. Not sure if these are characters in a story that I’d like to write or not. When I drew this I was imagining that the lads were from different families that had different traditions of facial hair and paint. I will draw more with beards and things rather than just bum fluff moustaches like these ones.
The stand is for people to lie on after they’ve passed away. I think I’ve seen a photo of a real one in a book about Native Americans or something. Not sure what the point of it would be in real life, but in my story they’d build the stands really high to help the spirit of the old dead person climb up to the heavens.

More kung fu going on here. It will be in my book about fighting and things- coming soon.

Here’s my contribution to Spacenite 2- ROM art show. A hundred or so artists from all over the place contribute their interpretation of Bill Mantlo’s ROM comics. Bill Mantlo was a comic book writer for Marvel until he was hit by a car and suffered severe brain trauma. The money raised is to help out with paying for his care. There’s going to be a book of all the art work and an online auction. More details about this in the future …

Here’s an illustration I did for .Cent magazine. It accompanies a little story that is too long for me to explain here. The general gist is that a load of people get separated from their loved ones and then try to find them again.

Went to an art fair to sell some things over the weekend and made a massive loss of about £8. A lot of people might think this is because I am a poor business man and that is most certainly true. There weren’t really any customers there, which made it quite hard to sell anything. The best thing to come out of it all was these gorgeous business cards I made.
